Lime icon.png Lime can be found rarely on the ground, but with the Quarrying Skill learned Lime Pit icon.png Lime Pits can be Dug for Lime Boulder icon.png Lime Boulders. Lime Boulders Dug from a Lime Pit come in variable sizes, with the bigger Lime Boulders giving more Lime icon.png Lime when Chipped, ranging from 100 to 5. From left to right, 100, 25, 15, 10 and 5 pieces. The higher your Mines & Mountains Proficiency the better the chance of Digging up bigger Lime Boulders. Learning Ambitious Excavation will help you Dig out Boulders faster.

Rarely you will Dig up a very small Lime Boulder. Chipping this Lime Boulder will give you a single Little Limestone icon.png Little Limestone. When used in place of Lime in a Ore Smelter icon.png Ore Smelter, a Little Limestone will increase the number of Bar of Pig Iron icon.png Bar of Pig Iron, Bar of Copper icon.png Bar of Copper, and Silver Bar icon.png Silver Bars you will receive. However, due to it's rarity, it's best to save them for Smelting Silver Bars.

Caution! A Lime counts as a Any Stone in recipes, when crafting or paving make sure the correct item selected.


A Boomstick icon.png Boomstick can be used to blow up a Boulder. To blow up a Boulder select your Boomstick from your inventory and right-click it on a source of Fire, such as a lit Torch icon.png Torch or Fireplace icon.png Fireplace. This will turn your Boomstick into a Lit Boomstick icon.png Lit Boomstick. You must now quickly select your Lit Boomstick and right-click it onto the Boulder you wish to blow up. Blowing up a Boulder will scatter it's Stones in a short radius around where the Boulder was. You can then pick them up if you wish to save them.

WARNING! Letting a Lit Boomstick explode in your inventory will do Blood damage to you.


Additional Uses

Clay

  1. Fill a Vessel with Potable Water icon.png Potable Water.
  2. Add a 2x Lime icon.png Lime to the Water by selecting a Lime from your inventory and right-clicking on your Potable Water to make Milk of Lime icon.png Milk of Lime.
  3. Select your Milk of Lime icon.png Milk of Lime and right-click it on your Clay Trough icon.png Clay Trough. A Clay Trough can hold 10 Bucket icon.png Buckets (100L) of Milk of Lime.
  4. With Any Shovel icon.png Any Shovel equipped, Dig the ground to get Dirt icon.png Dirt, which you will hold over your head. You can carry up to 15 clumps of Dirt.
  5. With the Dirt icon.png Dirt over your head right-click the Clay Trough icon.png Clay Trough to dump in the Dirt. This will produce 1x Clay icon.png Clay for each clump of Dirt you drop in. Each clump of Dirt will consume .5L of Milk of Lime, so a full Clay Trough can produce 200 Clay before needing to be re-filled.

Limed Hides

A full Bucket icon.png Bucket of Milk of Lime can make 4 Limed Hide icon.png Limed Hides. There is a chance that you will receive a Slimed Hide icon.png Slimed Hide when crafting a Limed Hide if you have any Madness levels.
