With the Quarrying Skill learned Lime Pits can be Dug for Lime Boulders. Lime Boulders Dug from a Lime Pit come in variable sizes, with the bigger Lime Boulders giving more Lime when Chipped, ranging from 100 to 5. From left to right, 100, 25, 15, 10 and 5 pieces. The higher your Mines & Mountains Proficiency the better the chance of Digging up bigger Lime Boulders.

A Boomstick can be used to blow up a Boulder. To blow up a Boulder select your Boomstick from your inventory and right-click it on a source of Fire, such as a lit Torch or Fireplace. This will turn your Boomstick into a Lit Boomstick. You must now quickly select your Lit Boomstick and right-click it onto the Boulder you wish to blow up. About

Granite Boulder icon.png Granite Boulders and Stone Boulder icon.png Stone Boulders are found scattered across the surface of the New World or alternatively removed from Mountain icon.png Mountains and Quarry icon.png Quarry using Any Shovel icon.png Any Shovel and Dig icon.png Dig. Lime Boulder icon.png Lime Boulders can be dug from Lime Pit icon.png Lime Pits. Right-clicking a Boulder will give you options in which to gather resources. Except where noted these actions may also apply to non over-world Boulders. Most Boulders can be loaded into, and fired from, a Catapult icon.png Catapult and do Blood damage based on the type of Boulder should it hit a pilgrim. Lift icon.png Lifting any Boulder icon.png Boulder that has sat long enough on the surface may reveal Beetle icon.png Beetles, Grub icon.png Grubs, or rarely, a Creepy Centipede icon.png Creepy Centipede, a Salamander icon.png Salamander, or Scorpion icon.png Scorpion beneath.

Alternatively you may load a Boulder into a Stamp Mill icon.png Stamp Mill, or use a Lit Boomstick icon.png Lit Boomstick to blow it up, these ways are faster than Chipping but will not yield any rares.
