About Granite Boulders and Stone Boulders are found scattered across the surface of the New World. Lifting Boulders found on the surface may reveal Beetles, Grubs, a Salamander, or rarely, a Creepy Centipede or Scorpion, hidden beneath them. With Any Axe or Any Pickaxe equipped right-click a Copper Ore Boulder and select "Chip" to receive up to 20x Rubble. Alternatively you may load any Boulder into a Stamp Mill, or blow it up with a Lit Boomstick. When Chipping any Boulder there is a chance to receive a Sterling Geode or Whetstone at the same Purity as the Boulder, or rarely an Arcane Amethyst during a Blood Moon.

The Phlegm this will drain is dependent on what Mine level you are on and can be lowered by increasing your Mining Artifact Bonus. Chipping an Ore Boulder will give you the appropriate Any Ore or Rubble.
