Activity Movements
Activity Movements are Movement Actions which change your Movement speed. Toggling on an Activity Movement will drain Phlegm until it is toggled off again, which will revert your speed back to a Walk. An Activity Movement will automatically turn off if your Phlegm gets too low.

Taming Wild Horses
Wild horses can be found while exploring, often in the Grassland. Right-clicking a rope onto them and then equipping the rope in one of your hands will cause the horse to follow you as you walk or fast travel. Unless you begin the taming process, they will despawn just like any other Creature in the wild.
Whipping them with a Wild Whip will start the taming process and a 12h cool down until the wild horse can be whipped again. Once a wild horse is whipped 3 times, its coat will change colour as it becomes a tamed horse that can be ridden. It is recommended to keep them in a pen near food until the taming process is complete. As long as you have started taming them, the horse will not despawn.
Mounts
Mounts are Creatures which can be ridden to significantly increase your Movement speed. To ride a Mount, right-click it and select "Ride 'em Cowboy!!". To dismount, ctrl-click the ground. You can not attack or use
Lift from a Mount. Normal Damage taken while mounted will not dismount the rider, however if the rider is shot with a Flintlock Pistol the rider will be dismounted.
Footprints
With the Indian Tracking Skill learned, toggling
Tracking on will allow you to see the
Footprints left by yourself and others. Following found Footprint may lead you to another pilgrim! Sneak, when toggled on, slowly drains Black Bile.

To avoid leaving Footprints, travel on Water, Pavement or toggle on
Sneak.
Foraging Movements
Foraging Movements are Movement Actions which increase the amount of Foragables that you will find in the wild. Toggling on a Foraging Movement will drain the corresponding Humour until it is toggled off again. A Foraging Movements will automatically turn off if any of the Humours it drains gets too low.
| Action | Extra Foragables | Speed vs Walk | Drains |
| High | Slower | Yellow Bile and Phlegm. | |
| Moderate | Faster | Blood and Phlegm. |
Swimming
Swim can be toggled on or off to allow for the crossing of
The Deep tiles of Water. Swim drains Phlegm based on your Skill at Swimming. Running out of Phlegm while Swimming will cause you to become Knocked Out. Most Creatures cannot Swim so combat can be disengaged from in a pinch by Swimming into The Deep. Notably, both
Wishpooshes can Swim and
Furfurs can fly over Water.

Climbing
Throughout the New World there are areas where the elevation jumps sharply, creating a cliff. Standing beneath a cliff and clicking the top will cause you to Climb up, and standing at the top of a cliff and clicking the bottom will cause you to climb down. Selecting your Climbing Mode determines the speed you climb, how likely you are to fall, how much Blood damage you will take if you do fall, and how high you can free climb without equipping a
Rope. Increasing
Mines & Mountains will also reduce your risk of falling and the damage you take when you do fall.
| Skill | Climbing Mode | Speed | Risk | Fall Damage | Rope Required At |
| Default | Default | Default | 2 meters | ||
| Default | Default | Default | 3 meters | ||
| 2 x faster | 2 x more | 2 x more | 4 meters | ||
| 3 x faster | 5 x more | 3 x more | 6 meters | ||
| 4 x faster | 10 x more | 4 x more | 8 meters |
NOTE: Climbing speed, risk, and damage are relative to the Afraid of Heights Climbing Mode.
