About

Most Nut Trees can be found in the wild or grown by Planting the appropriate Nut in a Gardening Pot icon.png Gardening Pot with the Nut Orchards Skill. When Planted Cuttings sometimes die and instead of a Tree you will receive a single Branch icon.png Branch. The higher your Flora & Fauna icon.png Flora & Fauna Proficiency, the less likely that it to happen. Planting in Gardening Pots lowers Insanity. To Plant a Tree which has sprouted in a Gardening Pot, Lift icon.png Lift the Pot then right-click the ground and select Plant.

Branch icon.png Branches can be harvested from any Tree, once you have learned the Survival Skills Skill. Occasionally, when Picking Branches, you will obtain a Broken Bough icon.png Broken Bough instead. There is no limit to how many Branches can be collected from any one Tree, you will simply Pick until your inventory is full or you click away.

With Any Axe icon.png Any Axe equipped all Trees, with the exception of the Myrtle Oak Tree, can be Chopped down to produce a Log icon.png Log. Trees shatter to Woodblocks when DIRECTLY falling onto things. If you stand directly under a falling Tree you will take Blood Damage. When Chopping down a Tree there is a chance to receive an Abandoned Bird's Nest icon.png Abandoned Bird's Nest and/or a Cross-Shaped Wood Splinter icon.png Cross-Shaped Wood Splinter. When a Tree is Chopped down it leaves a Stump behind. You can Destroy the stump and to get some additional Woodblock icon.png Woodblocks. Right-clicking a Log and selecting Chop with Any Axe equipped will give 60x Woodblocks, or when placed in a Sawbuck icon.png Sawbuck, 30x Fresh Board icon.png Fresh Boards. These numbers be higher depending on your Hammer & Nail icon.png Hammer & Nail Proficiency.
