About
With the Lore of The Lumberwoods Skill learned and Any Axe equipped, right-clicking on a Tree and selecting "Chop" will Chop down the Tree to produce a Log. Logs shatter into Woodblocks when falling DIRECTLY onto Structures. If you stand directly under a falling Log you will take Blood Damage. When Chopping down a Tree there is a chance to receive a Cross-Shaped Wood Splinter or to find an Abandoned Bird's Nest below you. When a Tree is Chopped down it leaves a Tree Stump behind.
With Any Axe equipped, right-clicking a Log and selecting "Chop" will yield 60x Woodblocks. When placed in a Sawbuck a Log will yield 30x Fresh Boards plus a bonus amount based on your Hammer & Nail Proficiency. An immature Tree will produce a smaller Log containing fewer Woodblocks or Fresh Boards; or no Log at all, if the Tree is very young. 0.1-0.2 Phlegm is drained for each Woodblock cut from a Log. Each time a Woodblock is Chopped there is a chance to receive a Knotted Wood Block instead. A Log will not obstruct Movement.
How to Make Fresh Boards
- Using Any Axe Chop down a Tree to get a Log.
- Lift the Log and right-click on the Sawbuck to load in the Log. You cannot load Hollow Logs onto it.
- With Any Saw equipped, right-click the Sawbuck and select "Make Boards". A single Log will yield 30x Fresh Boards, an immature Tree will produce a smaller Log which will yield fewer Boards. The yield of a Log can be increased by your Hammer & Nail Proficiency. When Chopping Fresh Boards you may receive a Coffin Plank by chance instead.
