In-Game Text

"True glory takes root, and even spreads; all false pretences, like flowers, fall to the ground; nor can any counterfeit last long."

-Marcus Tullius Cicero 106 BC - 43 BC

Time spent around metal and ne'erdowell activities has provided a particular skillset in the field of counterfeit coinage. By mixing iron into the molten silver, you earn yourself a pretty penny and increase the worth of the silver immensely when stamping it into coin! WARNING: This is a crime and will leave evidence of the act.

Committing Forgery

WARNING! Committing an act of Forgery will leave Summonable Evidence that may result being sent to the Stocks or worse!

Debasement, otherwise known as Forgery, is an act of Crime where Silver Pieces icon.png Silver Pieces are minted using alternative metals than Silver. Debasement will leave a Scent icon.png Scent and Summonable Evidence which will remain for 5 months. Pilgrims should not engage in Debasement unless they are doing so in a location they can secure for an extended period of time.

Minting Coins

With the Silversmithing skill learned, a Silver Bar icon.png Silver Bar can be Minted into 250x Silver Pieces icon.png Silver Pieces using the Silver Coins icon.png Silver Coins recipe. As these Coins are pure Silver, this is not a Crime. However, with the Debasement skill learned, mixing a Silver Bar with a Bar of Any Metal icon.png Bar of Any Metal using the Debased Silver Coins icon.png Debased Silver Coins recipe, to make 500x Silver Pieces. As these coins are not pure Silver this IS a Crime and will leave a Evidence Forgery.png Forgery Scent.
