Cotton Planting allows you to plant, harvest and process cotton. About Raw Cotton is the product of a Cotton Harvest. If you don't have access to Seeds of Cotton for Planting, they can be initially purchased for 175x Silver Pieces from the Stalls in Providence. Seeds of Cotton can be stored in a Planter's Pouch such as a Leather Planter's Pouch, Cotton Planter's Pouch, Egyptian Cotton Planter's Pouch, or Sea Island Planter's Pouch. Planting Initially 50x Seeds of Cotton are required when Planting Cotton. Farming Purity The Purity of crops Harvested from a Tilled Field is based on a combination of the Purity of the Tilled Field, the Purity of the Seeds used when Planting, and chance, which may increase or decrease the Purity of a Harvest by a few percent. Each time the Harvest is higher than the Tilled Field's Purity that Field's Purity will permanently increase by up to 1%. Harvesting When Harvesting Raw Cotton you will also rarely receive a Lamb of Tartary. There are 4 different varieties of Raw Cotton that can be produced from a Tilled Field. The variety you get depends on the total accumulated influence of the Red and the Green bars. Growing Cotton adds to the Blue bar. Tier Raw Cotton Influence 1 Raw Yellow-Stained Cotton Total accumulated Influence is less than 100 2 Raw Indian Cotton 100 to 150 total Influence, but with more Red then Green. 2 Raw Egyptian Cotton 100 to 150 total Influence, but with more Green then Red. 3 Raw Sea Island Cotton 150+ total Influence, balance does not matter. Using a Cotton Cleaner, or the faster Salem Store bought Template:Tailor's Cotton Cleaner, Raw Cotton can be Cleaned using the Clean Cotton recipe to make Cotton and 10x Seeds of Cotton. If you you don't have access to a Cotton Cleaner a Loom can be used, but it is slower. Cotton and Cloth Right-clicking a Loom Cotton can be used to create Cotton Cloth. This requires 10x Cotton in your inventory but may not consume all 10x Cotton if you are wearing clothing slotted with enough Weaving Bonus Artifacts.
