Cotton Planting allows you to plant, harvest and process cotton. About Raw Cotton is product of a Cottton Harvest. Using a Cotton Cleaner or a Loom Raw Cotton can be Cleaned into Cotton and Seeds of Cotton. If you don't have access to Seeds of Cotton for Planting, they can be initially purchased for 175x Silver Pieces from the Stalls in Providence. Seeds of Cotton can be stored in a Planter's Pouch such as a Leather Planter's Pouch, Cotton Planter's Pouch, Egyptian Cotton Planter's Pouch, or Sea Island Planter's Pouch. Planting To Plant a Cotton Field, you must Prepare your Tilled Field with Humus. Select the Humus you want to add to your Field from your inventory and right-click it onto your field. Once your Field is Prepared, select the Seeds of Cotton you wish to plant. It will initially takes 50 seeds to plant. Once the seeds are planted, you can Fertilize your Fields. After a period of time, your crops will grow and you can then Harvest them. The Purity of the resulting Crop is based upon the Purity of the Field, the Purity of the Seeds, and a RNG factor which can increase or decrease the Harvest by a few percent. Each time the Harvest is higher than the Field Purity that Field's Purity will permanently increase by up to 1%. Harvesting When Harvesting Raw Cotton you will also rarely receive a Lamb of Tartary. There are 4 different varieties of Raw Cotton that can be produced from a Field. The variety you get depends on the total accumulated influence of the Red and the Green bars. Growing Cotton adds to the Blue bar. Raw Cotton Influence Raw Yellow-Stained Cotton Total accumulated Influence is less than 100 Raw Indian Cotton 100 to 150 total Influence, but with more Red then Green. Raw Egyptian Cotton 100 to 150 total Influence, but with more Green then Red. Raw Sea Island Cotton 150+ total Influence, balance does not matter. Cotton and Cloth Using a Cotton Cleaner or a Loom Raw Cotton can be Cleaned into Cotton and Seeds of Cotton. Using a Loom this Cotton can be woven together to create Cotton Cloth. Generally this takes 10x Cotton, but this number can be reduced by using Clothing Slotted with Weaving Bonus Artifacts.
