In-Game Text
"Whereupon the judge telling him that the tongs could not be lost there, because that was the proper place they should be in, and finding the fellow to be simple, he directed the jury to bring him in guilty only of petty Larceny."
– Captain Alexander Smith, A Complete History of the Lives and Robberies of the Most Notorious Highwaymen, Footpads, Shoplifts and Cheats of Both Sexes
Have things gone missing around the Homestead lately? Perchance were they misplaced? Mayhaps you are growing old, with little pieces of memory daily slipping ever away from within the hitherto safe & sacred confines of your mind? Unto those who will not be growing old Larceny grants the ability to steal items of Homesteaded property.
Committing Larceny
WARNING! Committing an act of Larceny will leave Summonable Evidence that may result being sent to the Stocks or worse!
Larceny, otherwise known as Theft, is an act of Crime where protected items are taken by one pilgrim, from another. Generally this refers to items taken from areas protected by a Stake Claim or Town Bell, but additional acts of Larceny include L3wting items from a Leanto, L3wting items from a Corpse, Grave Robbing, and Desecrating a Skeleton. Larceny will leave a Scent and Summonable Evidence which will remain for 9 days.
CAUTION: Stealing an item will drain a large amount of Black Bile. Stolen item carry their Scents with them and, unless used or modified in some way which changes the item, can be tracked until the original Larceny Scent disappears.
NOTE: Only actually taking an item from a Leanto is a Crime, there is nothing wrong with taking a little peak.

Criminal Acts
In order to commit most Crimes Criminal Acts must be toggled on. Toggling it off prevents you from committing most Crimes. Certain Criminal Acts drain Black Bile when they are being committed. Your Criminality Artifact Bonus may be able to reduce this drain.
