In-Game Text"'Cinderella,' Said the Fairy, 'I am your godmother, and for the sake of your dear mamma I am come to cheer you up, so dry your tears; you shall go to the grand ball to-night, but you must do just as I bid you. Go into the garden and bring me a pumpkin.'" – Cinderella, Traditional Some of the native cultivars of this foreign land have begun to prove themselves to be quite useful. Pumpkin Planting allows you to grow and harvest pumpkins from fields. AboutPumpkins are the product of a Pumpkin Harvest. If you don't have access to Seeds of Pumpkin for Planting, you will need to Plant a New World Gourd in Gardening Pot, which has a 1 and 3 chance to become a Baby Bear. A Baby Bear can be Sliced for 6x Pumpkin Seeds. Seeds of Pumpkin can be stored in a Planter's Pouch such as a Leather Planter's Pouch, Cotton Planter's Pouch, Egyptian Cotton Planter's Pouch, or Sea Island Planter's Pouch. PlantingInitially 50x Seeds of Pumpkin are required when Planting Pumpkins.
Farming PurityThe Purity of crops Harvested from a Tilled Field is based on a combination of the Purity of the Tilled Field, the Purity of the Seeds used when Planting, and chance, which may increase or decrease the Purity of a Harvest by a few percent. Each time the Harvest is higher than the Tilled Field's Purity that Field's Purity will permanently increase by up to 1%. HarvestingPumpkins can be Harvested at three Growth Stages. Pumpkins from the 3rd Growth Stage are considered Large. There are 12 different varieties of Pumpkin which can be produced from a Tilled Field. The variety you get depends on the total accumulated Influence of the Green and the Blue bars as well as the Growth Stage. Growing Pumpkins adds to the Pink bar.
Pumpkinseed OilPlacing Seeds of Pumpkin inside and right-clicking a Press and selecting "Press' will fill your Press with Pumpkinseed Oil. At a rate of .75 liters for every 10x seeds. Cottonseed Oil can be used in recipes or in place of Vegetable Oil. Potable PumpkinsWith the Gardening skill learned, a first Growth Stage Pumpkin can be grown by planting another first Growth Stage Pumpkin in a Gardening Pot. Planting Pumpkins in Gardening Pots lowers Insanity.
How to Plant in a Gardening Pot
Gardening PurityThree factors influence Gardening Purity. The Purity of the Humus, the Purity of the Plant, and the Purity of the Gardening Pot. The Harvested Plant will be the average Purity of these three factors weighted towards the Humus. The formula is: Resulting Plant = ((Humus*2)+Pot+Initial Plant)/4. Any time the Resulting Plant's Purity is higher than the Gardening Pot's, the Gardening Pot's Purity will permanently increase by up to 2.56%. You may check your Gardening Pot's Purity by right-clicking it. |
