In-Game Text
A Timber Pile is used to dry boards for more demanding building projects. The Pile needs to be placed well away from other objects to reduce the risk of mold growth.
How to Make Oiled Boards
- Using
Any Axe Chop down a
Tree to get a
Log.
Lift the
Log and right-click on the
Sawbuck to load in the Log.
- Using
Any Saw make 40
Fresh Boards. When Chopping Fresh Boards you may receive a
Coffin Plank by chance instead.
- Using 40
Fresh Boards and 10
Any Stone Build a
Timber Pile on flat ground at least 5 meters away from any other Structure or Tree.
- In 5 days your
Fresh Boards will become
Dry Boards, or
Moldy Boards if you placed your
Timber Pile too close to another object. When Collecting Boards you may receive a
Ghost in the Grain by chance instead.
Follow the illustration below to increase your chances of avoiding Moldy Boards. No structures of any kind should be present within 5 tiles of the Timber Pile. Tilled Fields and Paving do not cause mold. All other structures should be avoided. Great care must be taken to ensure that even other Timber Piles are not within close proximity to one another because even on perfectly cleared terrain as if one Timber Pile becomes moldy, then the mold has a chance to spread to any nearby Timber Piles as well.
