Pinecones can be found on the ground in the Coniferous Biome, Picked from Spruce Tree, or found when Rummaging a Squirrel Stash. Removing Cone Scales from a Pinecone will give you 0-5 Pine Nuts, 2-4 Pinecone Scales, and uncommonly, an Oddly Shaped Pinecone Scale.
