About

Golden Halberd icon.png Golden Halberds are occasionally handed out by the Developers during special events. A Golden Halberd counts as a Polearm type Weapon and as an Axe type Tool.

Cleave Attack Move

With the Polearms Skill learned and a Polearm type Weapon equipped, pilgrims can use the Cleave icon.png Cleave Combat Move. Cleave is an Impact Attack with AOE damage making it easier to connect. Additionally unlike most Combat Moves Cleave's damage is based on Maximum Yellow Bile rather than current Yellow Bile meaning it does not get weaker the more times you use it without restoring your Humours. Using Cleave consumes Yellow Bile and does Blood damage based on your Maximum Yellow Bile, the Purity of your Polearm, and your combined Impact Power and Common Combat Power Artifact Bonus. Cleave will give you a small amount of Imbalance icon.png Imbalance. Impact Defense and Common Combat Defense Artifacts will reduce the damage you take from the Cleave Attack.

Weapon Purity

Craftable metal Weapons such as Halberd icon.png Halberds and Spanish Sabre icon.png Spanish Sabres initially take their Purity from the Wrought Iron Bar icon.png Wrought Iron Bars used in their construction but the Purity of all Polearms and Sword can be modified by selecting a Whetstone icon.png Whetstone and right-clicking it on the Weapon and selecting "Sharpen". This will consume the Whetstone and transfer its Purity onto the Weapon. Purity increases the amount of damage done by the Weapon by up to 10% at 100% Purity.

Axes

Equipping Any Axe icon.png Any Axe allows Chop Tree icon.png Trees, Log icon.png Logs, and Wood Pile icon.png Wood Piles, Split Woodblock icon.png Woodblocks, Strike Cutting icon.png Cuttings, and Chip Boulder icon.png Boulders, although it's better to use Any Pickaxe icon.png Any Pickaxe for this if one is available. The higher tier the Axe, the faster it completes these actions.

Axe Speed Notes
Flint Axe icon.png Flint Axe Slow
Metal Axe icon.png Metal Axe Moderate
Steel Axe icon.png Steel Axe Fast
Executioner's Axe icon.png Executioner's Axe Fastest
Halberd icon.png Halberd Slow Counts as a Polearm
Golden Halberd icon.png Golden Halberd Slow Counts as a Polearm
WARNING! Using an Axe with any Madness levels runs the risk of it permanently becoming an unusable Questionably Effective Axe icon.png Questionably Effective Axe.
