Fresh Boards are obtained by placing a Log on a Sawbuck and using an Axe to Make Boards by right clicking on the loaded Sawbuck. A fresh Log will produce 30 boards. Coffin Planks will sometimes be created rather than Fresh Boards, but can be used in most recipes in place of a Fresh Board.

A Timber Pile must be built to turn Fresh Boards to Dry Boards and from there into Planed Boards or Oiled Boards.
