Granite can be found rarely on the ground, but more commonly Granite Boulders are found scattered across the surface of the New World. With the Colonial Tradesmanship Skill learned, these Boulders can be Chipped to receive Granite. Once the Quarrying Skill has be learned you can Dig Stone Boulders from a Quarry or Mountain. With the Granite Excavation Skill learned there is a chance to get a Granite Boulders when Digging on Quarries. This chance is based off your Mines & Mountains Proficiency. Learning Ambitious Excavation will help you Dig out Boulders faster.

Granite has a unique Pavement style.

Granite counts as Any Stone in recipes, when crafting or paving make sure the correct item is selected.

A Boomstick can be used to blow up a Boulder. To blow up a Boulder select your Boomstick from your inventory and right-click it on a source of Fire, such as a lit Torch or Fireplace. This will turn your Boomstick into a Lit Boomstick. You must now quickly select your Lit Boomstick and right-click it onto the Boulder you wish to blow up. Blowing up a Boulder will scatter it's Stones in a short radius around where the Boulder was. You can then pick them up if you wish to save them.

WARNING! Letting a Lit Boomstick explode in your inventory will do Blood damage to you.
