How to Make Leather
- The most effective way to make
Tanning Fluid is by selecting a Brain and right-clicking it onto a Vessel of Potable Water. If a Bucket was used this will make 10 liters of Tanning Fluid with a 5% concentration. Tanning Fluid can also be made by boiling Birch Bark in a Clay Pot or Copper Pot although you should boil enough that the concentration is at least 5%.
- Place up to 4x
Limed Hides into your Tanning Tub.
- Select a Vessel of Tanning Fluid and right-click it on your Tanning Tub. 10 liters of 5% concentrated Tanning Fluid is required for each Limed Hide.
- Wait - as your Limed Hide begins to tan its progress bar will go up.
- Each time a Limed Hide's progress bar reaches 100% it consumes 10 liters of Tanning Fluid and is converted into
Leather and very rarely Fine Leather. There's a chance of your Limed Hide becoming a Foetid Ooze instead, if that happens the Tanning Fluid will not be consumed.
How to Make Fine Leather
- .1 liters of
Otto of Rose are received when dehydrating Red Rose for 4 hours in a Steam Distiller.
- Right-click your Vessel of Otto of Rose on a Vessel of
Vegetable Oil to make Rose-tinted Tanning Fluid. If a Full Glass Vial of Otto of Rose and a Bucket was used this will make 10 liters of Rose-tinted Tanning Fluid with a 5% concentration. This concentration can be increased up to 50%. The higher the concentration the better the chance of getting Fine Leather when Tanning.

Building Structures
Selecting a structure from the build menu or its sub-menus will place a Building Blueprint Sign at the position of the cursor and then clicking a valid building location on the ground will place the sign and open a window prompting the player to deposit the necessary materials and build the structure.
Each material is followed by a series of three numbers.
- The first indicates how many of that resource are needed but have not been deposited.
- The second number indicates how many of that resource have been deposited but have not been built into the structure.
- The third number indicates how many of that resource have been built into the structure.
Players can take their time building structures by depositing and committing resources to the build sign by clicking the "build" button. The character will build as much of the structure as they can with the available resources. They can return with more resources in the future.
Note that if no resources are deposited, the build sign will disappear when the player walks away. If resources are deposited, but the player hasn't built them into the structure, the uncommitted resources will slowly disappear over time. This is to combat players using build signs as cheap and overpowered storage containers they can deposit and retrieve resources from.
