No more a solid foundation for a church or a manor is in the New World to be found than that of stone. Quarrying allows you to hew boulders from the mountainous regions of the world for use in many building projects.
About
Once the Quarrying Skill has be learned you can Dig Stone Boulders from a Quarry or Mountain. With the Granite Excavation Skill learned there is a chance to get a Granite Boulders when Digging on Quarries. Learning Ambitious Excavation will help you Dig out Boulders faster and increases the chance to get larger Lime Boulders from Lime Pits.
With the Quarrying Skill learned Lime Pits can be Dug for Lime Boulders. Lime Boulders Dug from a Lime Pit come in variable sizes, with the bigger Lime Boulders giving more Lime when Chipped, ranging from 100 to 5. From left to right, 100, 25, 15, 10 and 5 pieces. The higher your Mines & Mountains Proficiency the better the chance of Digging up bigger Lime Boulders.
Rarely you will Dig up a very small Lime Boulder. Chipping this Lime Boulder will give you a single Little Limestone. When used in place of Lime in a Ore Smelter, a Little Limestone will increase the number of Bar of Pig Iron, Bar of Copper, and Silver Bars you will receive. However, due to it's rarity, it's best to save them for Smelting Silver Bars.
