The most abundant and plentiful of common and oft-employed resources can quickly, as a colony grows, become the scarcest. Forestry allows you to plant Trees.

Right-clicking a Tree while holding and an Axe and select Strike to get a Cutting. This Cutting can then be Planted in a Gardening Pot with the Forestry Skill. When Planted Cuttings will sometimes die and instead of a Tree you will receive a single Branch. The higher your Flora & Fauna Proficiency, the less likely that it to happen.Planting in Gardening Pots lowers Insanity. To Plant a Tree which has sprouted in a Gardening Pot, Lift the Pot then right-click the ground and select Plant.
Chestnut Cutting, Hickory Cutting, Spruce Cutting, Walnut Cutting are now Legacy. They cannot be Planted or taken from Trees anymore. Instead Nut Trees can be Planted using Any Nut.
