In-Game Text

"I consulted several things in my situation, which I found would be proper for me: 1st, health and fresh water, I just now mentioned; 2ndly, shelter from the heat of the sun; 3rdly, security from ravenous creatures, whether man or beast; 4thly, a view to the sea, that if God send any ship in sight, I might not lose any advantage for my deliverance, of which I was not willing to banish all my expectation yet."

– Daniel Defoe, Robinson Crusoe

Between the wailings of the Squonk and the Indian the Lumberwoods are a terrifying place for even the most hardened of European visitors. A fair mastery of Survival Skills is essential when traveling farther afield from the sheltering bosom and protection of Boston.

About

The first skill a player learns on their own upon entering the New World, it can be learned by studying a simple Smooth Stone or Stray Chestnut.
