About

Allows a player to cut raw gems into faceted gems that can be socketed.

Each Gemstone has a Hardness which is passed on by the Rubble the Gemstone was Sifted from. That Hardness is based on a player's Mines & Mountains Proficiency and a RNG. This Hardness refers to its success odds when Cutting on a Gemcutter's Wheel. The Harder the Gemstone, the less chance of success.

Gemstones each have a variable number of carats which can give a bonus to the gem's Affluence. The Affluence bonus only increases when the Gemstone is higher than 1 carat. For instance a 0.98 and a 0.99 Gemstone give the same Affluence, but a 1.01 Gemstone will give more than a 0.99 Gem.
