With Any Axe or Any Pickaxe equipped right-click a Copper Ore Boulder and select "Chip" to receive up to 20x Rubble. Alternatively you may load any Boulder into a Stamp Mill, or blow it up with a Lit Boomstick.

Iron ore has silver streaks and copper has orange.

Bar of Copper is smelted from this by putting it into an Ore Smelter. Ore can not be used as a replacement for stone.
