Charcoal can be used as both a Fuel and a Fertilizer, as well as Ammo for Baby Braziers and Blazing Braziers.

Making Charcoal

1. With 20x Woodblocks on hand Build a Coal Clamp.
2. With a source of Fire on hand, light your Coal Clamp.
3. Wait 56 hours for the wood to burn down. When the Coal Clamp is finished burning the graphic will change from smoking to black.
4. Right-click on the Coal Clamp and select Gather Charcoal. The amount Charcoal is determined by the Purity of the Woodblocks used and your Sparks & Embers.

When collecting Charcoal there is a chance to receive an Unscathed Wood at the same Purity as the Woodblocks used to make the Coal Clamp instead. When used as Ammo, if the Purity of the Unscathed Wood is higher than the Blazing Brazier's, adding it will raise the Blazing Brazier's Purity, allowing it to do more damage to invaders.
