Stake ClaimA Stake Claim, also known as a Personal Claim or "P-Claim", is the preferred Claim Type of pilgrims in the New World. It can be marked as your Homestead and allows Fast Traveling from anywhere on your Claim, including from inside Buildings, as well as preventing Decay from occurring on anywhere on your Claim. Pilgrims entering your Claim without your Permission will leave Trespassing Scents, taking items will leave Evidence of Larceny, and attempting to Destroy you Structures will leave Evidence of Waste. All acts of Crime committed on a P-Claim will give the Crime! debuff to the Criminal, and additionally will trigger nearby Aggressive Defense Structures. Homestead WARNING! Having your Homestead Destroyed while you are off-line will cause you to lose all your Inventory and equipped items!
Your Homestead is your personal link in the New World, which must be tied to either a Lean-to or a Stake Claim. Being at your Homestead will allow you to Fast Travel ... to Providence. While you can only have one Homestead at a time, you can change it as frequently as you like. It is vital that you protect your Homestead as it is the place where your equipped items and Inventory is stored when you are off-line, as well as having no Homestead will not allow you to log-off and Summoned Criminal's will be instantly killed. With the Larceny Skill learned, right-clicking someone's Homestead while they are Offline will give you the option to "L3wt". Selecting L3wt will show you the you their equipment and Inventory. Looking is NOT a Crime however taking any of those items IS a Crime! and will leave Evidence of Larceny. NOTE: You can have as many Stake Claim sas you want, but you can only set one as your Homestead. PermissionsRight-clicking a Stake Claim will bring up its Upkeep and Permission Menu. Upkeep WARNING! If your Stake Claim's Upkeep Silver runs out, all benefits will cease, and it can be Destroyed.
When first built, a Stake Claim will Claim over a 5x5 tile area around itself, however it can be expand it by paying Silver Pieces. Right-clicking your Stake Claim will open a menu with options to expand your Claim 1x tile in any cardinal direction. This will automatically withdraw Silver Pieces from your Inventory. A Claim will lose a little bit of Silver each day, called Upkeep, once it runs completely out of stored Silver it will lose its benefits - will not protect against decay, Crime, or trigger Aggressive Defense Structures. Additionally it will become susceptible to being Destroyed. A full Stake Claim will last 2 months and the more you have expanded your Claim, the higher the Upkeep will be. Right-clicking your Stake Claim will show how much Silver is remaining and how many days it will last. The formula for the amount a Stake Claim loses in Silver per day is its size/300 + 4. More Silver can be added by selecting Silver Pieces and right-clicking them on your Stake Claim. DestroyingThere are only 3x ways a Stake Claim can be Destroyed.
