In-Game Text"As to their clothes, observe how little work is spent in them; while they are at labour they are clothed with leather and skins, cut carelessly about them, which will last seven years [...]" -Sir Thomas Moore, Utopia Many are the Pilgrims who have succumbed to the at times harsh climes and environs of the New World for lack of adequate garments and clothing. Hasten not to join their ranks and to become one woeful brother among them. Hideworking allows you to skin the hides of animals, and to construct Drying Frames to cure them. AboutHideworking is a Hideworking Skill which allows for most Creatures to be Skinned to receive their Raw Hides. To Skin a dead Creature right-click on it's corpse and select "Skin". Once the Hideworking Skill has been learned, dead pilgrims can be Skinned by right-clicking their Corpse and selecting "Scalp". This will give you a Scalp with that pilgrim's name and Scalp Score. WARNING! Scalping a Corpse adds a huge amount of Insanity.

NOTE: To skin Creatures you will also need the proper Hunting Skill in order to Butcher it. |
