About Once the Revenge Skill has been learned, dead pilgrims can be Skinned by right-clicking their Corpse and selecting "Scalp". This will give you a Scalp with that pilgrim's name and Scalp Score, which is related their max Humours and Proficiencies. This score is what Mr. Puggles checks when determining is the Scalp is a top 10 Scalp. Scalping a Corpse will leave a Scent and Summonable Evidence of Larceny which will remain for 9 days. WARNING! Scalping a Corpse adds a huge amount of Insanity.
