Compost Bin
|
AboutA Compost Bin is a composter with 35x slots for either Worms or Humus. CompostingComposters, when filled with Organic Material, will generate 1x Humus and possibly a Common Earthworm or rarely an Earthworm Python every 2 hours. The Purity of the Humus will be affected by Worm Purity and your Composter's Worm Efficiency. Each Common Earthworm will raise your Worm Efficiency by 4% and each Earthworm Python 16%. Composters have a 50 point fill capacity; the bar seen when opening a composter shows what percent that bar is filled. To fill your composter, select some Organic Material and right-click it onto your composter.
Worm and Humus PurityCommon Earthworms and Earthworm Pythons can have their Purity raised by allowing them to eat Any Plant with a higher Purity than their own. To do this place a Worm in a Container and place your pure Any Plants directly next to, above, or below the Worm. After a few hours the Worm will eat one of the Plants and take 10% of the difference between the Plant's Purity and the Worm's Purity. Additionally Common Earthworms found when Rummaging an Abandoned Bird's Nest will take on the Purity of the Tree it came from. Worms in turn pass their Purity to the Humus they produce in a Compost Bin based on the average Purity of ALL the Worms inside the Compost Bin and its Worm Efficiency. For this reason it is recommended you regularly check on your Compost Bin and remove any unwanted Worms that spawn as they will lower your average Purity. Humus is one of three components for Gardening Purity. Building StructuresSelecting a structure from the build menu or its sub-menus will place a Building Blueprint Sign at the position of the cursor and then clicking a valid building location on the ground will place the sign and open a window prompting the player to deposit the necessary materials and build the structure. Each material is followed by a series of three numbers.
Players can take their time building structures by depositing and committing resources to the build sign by clicking the "build" button. The character will build as much of the structure as they can with the available resources. They can return with more resources in the future. Note that if no resources are deposited, the build sign will disappear when the player walks away. If resources are deposited, but the player hasn't built them into the structure, the uncommitted resources will slowly disappear over time. This is to combat players using build signs as cheap and overpowered storage containers they can deposit and retrieve resources from. |
