About Tanning Fluid can be added to a Tanning Tub along with Limed Hides to make Leather. Tanning Fluid is made by selecting a Brain from your inventory and right-clicking it onto a full Vessel of Potable Water to produce a 10L Bucket of Tanning Fluid with 5% concentration, adding another Brain will make it a 10.0% solution. Birch Bark can be Boiled to make Soaked Bark and Tanning Fluid. When your Birch Bark is finished Boiling, it will become Soaked Bark and the liquid in the Pot will have become Tanning Fluid. This item needs about 30 minutes to Boil. Boiling four pieces of Birch Bark in a full Clay Pot yields 3L of Tanning Fluid with 6% concentration. Boiling nine pieces of Birch Bark in a full Copper Pot yields 5.5L of Tanning Fluid with 7.5% concentration. How to Boil Over a Fireplace Fuel and Light your Fireplace. Fill your Clay Pot or Copper Pot with Potable Water. Select the pot and right-click it onto your Fireplace to hang your pot over the Fire.
