[[Sift Rubble]] to get various resources like [[Black Sand]], [[Any Raw Gem|Gems]] and [[Goldflakes]]. Finding a Gem while sifting reduces a bit of [[Insanity]]. However, any gem found during a Blood Moon will instead be a [[Blood Shard]].  See [[Mineral Sifting]] for more information.

To {{i|Sift Rubble}} {{i|Rubble}}, equip a {{i|Sifting Pan}} or {{i|Prospector's Pan}} and stand in {{i|The Shallows}}. Click [[Adventure]] -> [[Sift Rubble]]. This will change your mouse icon to a Sifting Pan, click again on The Shallows to begin Sifting. Each time you Sift it will consume 1x {{i|Rubble}} with a chance to get either {{i|Black Sand}}, {{i|Dravite}}, {{i|Goldflakes}}, {{i|Phosphophyllite}}, {{i|Rubellite}}, {{i|Uvarovite}}, or potentially nothing in return. You will have to repeat this process for each Rubble in your inventory or use a [[3rd Party Clients|Custom Client]] which allows you to automate the Sifting.

A Sifting Pan be carried in either a Journeyman Toolbelt icon.png Journeyman Toolbelt, Novice Toolbelt icon.png Novice Toolbelt, or the Master Toolbelt icon.png Master Toolbelt.

Sifting

To Sift Rubble icon.png Sift Rubble Rubble icon.png Rubble, equip a Sifting Pan icon.png Sifting Pan or Prospector's Pan icon.png Prospector's Pan and stand in The Shallows icon.png The Shallows. Click Adventure -> Sift Rubble. This will change your mouse icon to a Sifting Pan, click again on The Shallows to begin Sifting.
