About

Rabbit icon.png Rabbits are found abundantly throughout the New World. Rabbits make an excellent source of meat and hides for weaker pilgrims - with as little as 15 Yellow Bile, a Rabbit can be one-hit-killed with an Uppercut icon.png Uppercut. Rabbits come in several colors, although this will not affect the hide in any way.

Fighting

NOTE: Artifacts which add Blunt Power, Common Combat Power, Impact Power, and Piercing Power will help make certain Attack move more successful. Artifacts with Feral Defense will lower the Blood damage you take from an animal's attack.

A Rabbit is easily killed using a Punch icon.png Punch or Uppercut icon.png Uppercut and walking away until the Rabbit runs at you, then hitting it again as it approaches, repeating until the Rabbit is dead.

WARNING! Some Rabbits may actually be a March Hare icon.png March Hare in disguise and will transform when attacked. Caution when attacking pure white Rabbits.

Skinning/Butchering

Note: Hideworking is required to harvest raw skins and hides. Having skills such as Butcher's Thrift, Field Dressing, Game Meats, and Viscera & Bits will increase amount of meat and received when Butchering, and the chance of receiving rare items. Monster Hunting is required to Butcher Darkness creatures.

A Rabbit, once killed, can be picked up and stored in your Inventory as a Dead Rabbit icon.png Dead Rabbit. When picking up a Dead Rabbit there is also a chance to receive a Carrot icon.png Carrot as well. Butchering a Dead Rabbit will give you 1x Bone icon.png Bones, 2x Meat Shreds icon.png Meat Shreds, 1x Raw Rabbit Cut icon.png Raw Rabbit Cut, 1x Raw Rabbit Steak icon.png Raw Rabbit Steak, and 1x Raw Rabbit Skin icon.png Raw Rabbit Skin. when Butchering there is also a chance to receive Jackalope Antlers icon.png Jackalope Antlers, Raw Long Ear icon.png Raw Long Ear, or very rarely, a Tiny Pocketwatch icon.png Tiny Pocketwatch.
