In-Game Text"The man who has nothing to boast of but his ancestors is like a potato - the only good belonging to him is under ground." – Sir Thomas Overbury (1581 - 1613) A fruit of the dirt, its growing popularity in the old world has reached the shores of the colonies and with it, the knowledge of its cultivation! Although many find it bland alone, the potato makes for a filling meal. AboutAny Potatoes are the product of a Potato Harvest. A single Potato Chunk is required when Planting Any Potato. If you don't have access to Potato Chunks for Planting, you can plant a Wild Tuber instead. For an overview of Planting, see Tilled Field. Harvesting PotatoesWhen harvesting a mature Potato crop you may also receive a Curious Potato. Right-clicking Any Potato and selecting "Split" will divide your Potato into 6x Potato Chunks. There are 4 different varieties of Potato. The varieties you get when harvesting depends on the total accumulated influence of the Blue and the Pink bars. Successfully growing a Potato crop adds to the Red bar.
Any Potato can be baked in a Bread Oven to produce a Baked Potato or boiled in a Clay Pot, Copper Pot, or Cauldron to produce a Boiled Potato. |
