With the skill Forestry learned, a  Birch Cutting is received by right-clicking on a  Birch Tree with  Any Axe equipped and selecting "Strike Cutting". A Birch Cutting can be Planted in a  Gardening Pot to grow a Birch Tree. When Planted  Cuttings will sometimes fail and become a a single  Branch. The higher your  Flora & Fauna Proficiency, the less likely that it to happen. Planting in Gardening Pots lowers Insanity.
