About
Corn is both the product of a mature Corn Harvest and the seed. If you don't have access to Corn for Planting, it can be initially purchased for 1250x
Silver Pieces from the Stalls in Providence.
Corn can be stored in a Planter's Pouch such as a Leather Planter's Pouch,
Cotton Planter's Pouch,
Egyptian Cotton Planter's Pouch, or
Sea Island Planter's Pouch.
Planting
To Plant a Corn Field, you must Prepare your
Tilled Field with
Humus. Select the Humus you want to add to your Field from your inventory and right-click it onto your field. Once your Field is Prepared, select your
Corn you wish to plant. It will initially takes 50 seeds to plant. Once the seeds are planted, you can Fertilize your Fields. After a period of time, your crops will grow and you can then Harvest them.
The Purity of the resulting Crop is based upon the Purity of the Field, the Purity of the Seeds, and a RNG factor which can increase or decrease the Harvest by a few percent. Each time the Harvest is higher than the Field Purity that Field's Purity will permanently increase by up to 1%.
Harvesting
Corn can be Harvested at two growth stages, yielding either Baby Corn or
Corn if you allow it to mature. Only the second mature phase will allow you to replant a Field, so don't be too eager to Harvest your Crop unless you specifically want Baby Corn. When Harvesting mature Corn you also receive a
Corn Husk and rarely, a
Curious Indian Corn.
There are 4 different varieties of Corn that can be produced from a Field. The variety you get depends on the total accumulated influence of Cabbage, Red bar, and Cotton, the Blue bar. Growing Corn adds to the Green bar.
Corn Influence * Yellow Corn
Total accumulated Influence is less than 100 * White Corn
100 to 150 total Influence, but with more Red than Blue. * Blue Corn
100 to 150 total Influence, but with more Blue then Red. * Golden Corn
150+ total Influence, balance does not matter.
If you have a field with 100% Plenty, you will get 50 Corn. Divide Plenty by 2 (rounding down) to get your Yield.
