Right-click on an Anvil to craft a Sifting Pan.
A Sifting Pan be carried in either a Journeyman Toolbelt, Novice Toolbelt, or the Master Toolbelt.
Sifting
To Sift Rubble Rubble, equip a Sifting Pan or Prospector's Pan and stand in The Shallows. Click Adventure -> Sift Rubble. This will change your mouse icon to a Sifting Pan, click again on The Shallows to begin Sifting. Each time you Sift it will consume 1x Rubble with a chance to get either Black Sand, Dravite, Goldflakes, Phosphophyllite, Rubellite, Uvarovite, or potentially nothing in return. You will have to repeat this process for each Rubble in your inventory or use a Custom Client which allows you to automate the Sifting.
Finding Any Raw Gem while Sifting reduces a bit of Insanity. Raw Gems have a variable number of Carats which can give a bonus to the Raw Gem's Affluence when cut on the Gemcutter's Wheel.
