Salem's world is made up of many unique terrain types or biomes. Many of these are home to unique animal and item spawns, which are catalogued here. Note that universal spawns (such as Flint and Smooth Stones) will be omitted.
Creature and item spawns will also be governed by the level of civilization in a particular area. Please the Darkness article for more specific information.
Grassland
AKA: plains, steppe Grasslands range from wide, open plains to small patches within forests. They are characterized as being largely flat, with few trees, and vary in color from brown, to yellow, to pale green, to a rich green. At the time of writing, grasslands are the only terrain in which creatures spawn, making them essential to any budding settlement.
