How to Make Wrought Iron Bars

Time is your enemy when making Wrought Iron Bar icon.png Wrought Iron Bars so proper preparation is key. Make sure your Finery Forge icon.png Finery Forge is Fueled with plenty of Charcoal icon.png Charcoal on hand nearby for Refueling. Make sure your Trip Hammer icon.png Trip Hammer and all three pumps of your Finery Forge are easy to access, and you have a means to restore your Phlegm. Additionally you should equip your Any Tongs icon.png Any Tongs before you start or have them in your Tool Belt. You should do everything in your power to maximize speed - if your Bloom icon.png Bloom sits for too long it will turn into Dross icon.png Dross.

  1. Fuel your Finery Forge and light it.
  2. Put a Bar of Pig Iron icon.png Bar of Pig Iron into your Finery Forge. Note: If you have fellow pilgrims with the Skill Bellows Operation learned who can help, you can add more Bars of Pig Iron, but hermits are advised to do it one Bar at a time.
  3. You will see a smoke pillar coming from each of Finery Forges' 3x vents, but every so often one will stop smoking and you will then need to go to pump and use it until all 3x vents are smoking again. Keep filling the Finery Forge with Charcoal and pumping the vents until red Heat Bar is full. Once the Heat Bar reaches at least 90% the Progress Bar on your Bar of Pig Iron will start quickly rising.
  4. Once the Bar of Pig Iron's Progress Bar reaches 100% it will turn into a Bloom.
  5. With your Any Tongs equipped select the Bloom and right-click it onto your Trip Hammer.
  6. Once complete this will finally turn your Bloom into a Wrought Iron Bar.
  7. Put another Bar of Pig Iron into your Finery Forge and repeat.

NOTE: You will need the Skills Bellows Operation to operate a Finery Forge and Metalsmithing to operate a Trip Hammer.
