About WARNING! Splitting a Rotten Log without Shaking it first may cause you to drop your entire Inventory. Rotten Logs are the most abundant Forageable in the Greenwood biome, but also can be found inside Hollow Logs and Hollow Stumps. A Rotten Log counts as a Woodblock in any recipes. With your volume on you can right-click a Rotten Log and and select "Shake" to reveal the contents when Splitting it with Any Axe equipped. If you hear a rattle then inside is a Smooth Stone and Wood Choppings. If you hear a squishing then inside is Milkweed Roots and Wood Choppings. If you hear coins rattling then inside is a Rusty Coin and Wood Choppings. If you hear a nothing then inside is just Wood Choppings. However if you hear any of these phrases: Yo pilgrim! Let me out of here, pleaseeee! Hey you! Yea you, le let me out of here! Hey let me out of here! Let/Set me free and get free candieee! Inside your Rotten Log will contain a Mischievous Gnome who will force you to drop everything in your Inventory except for Pockets and Backpacks. Then quickly disappear. These Rotten Logs make great fuel for your Coal Clamp or Fireplace.
