It is only among the refuse and detriment of the earth that you find her true beauty. Mineral Sifting provides the knowledge of sifting through rubble using fresh water and spotting the gems and other treasures it hides.
About
To sift Rubble, equip a Sifting Pan or Prospector's Pan then stand in Shallow Water and click Adventure -> Sift Rubble before you click again on the water. Then repeat the process of clicking on the water for each piece of Rubble or use a Custom Client that allows you to automate the sifting.
Finding a Gem while sifting reduces a bit of Insanity. Any Gem found during a Blood Moon will instead be a Blood Shard.
