Worms can have their purity adjusted by feeding them plants with the purity you want them to eventually obtain. You must place the worm in a container and then place an item of the [[Any Plant]] category immediately next to the worm. After a few hours the worm will consume that plant and the worm's alchemy levels will make a 10% adjustment towards the plant's alchemy. For example if the plant had 40 AEther value and the worm had 30 AEther value, once the worm feeds on the plant it will gain 10% of the difference which is 1 and end up having 31 AEther value.

Worms pass their Purity directly to the Humus they produce in a bin. Humus is one of three components for Gardening Purity.

About

An Earthworm Python icon.png Earthworm Python can be found uncommonly inside Hollow Log icon.png Hollow Logs, Hollow Stump icon.png Hollow Stumps, and working Compost Bin icon.png Compost Bins. Alternatively an Earthworm Python can be created selecting a Common Earthworm icon.png Common Earthworm and right-clicking it on a Royal Jelly icon.png Royal Jelly.

Worm and Humus Purity

Common Earthworm icon.png Common Earthworms and Earthworm Python icon.png Earthworm Pythons can have their Purity raised by allowing them to eat Any Plant icon.png Any Plant with a higher Purity than their own. To do this place a Worm in a Container and place your pure Any Plants directly next to, above, or below the Worm. After a few hours the Worm will eat one of the Plants and take 10% of the difference between the Plant's Purity and the Worm's Purity. Additionally Common Earthworms found when Rummaging an Abandoned Bird's Nest icon.png Abandoned Bird's Nest will take on the Purity of the Tree icon.png Tree it came from. Worms in turn pass their Purity to the Humus icon.png Humus they produce in a Compost Bin icon.png Compost Bin based on the average Purity of ALL the Worms inside the Compost Bin and its Worm Efficiency. For this reason it is recommended you regularly check on your Compost Bin and remove any unwanted Worms that spawn as they will lower your average Purity. Humus is one of three components for Gardening Purity.
