About A Bat is an aggressive Creature which spawns inside Mine Entrances while Mining. Each time you successfully Mine a Wall there is a chance to spawn up to 3x Bats, additionally Bats may spawn when a Cave-In is imminent, or when dropping down a Level due to a Cave-Down. The chance of spawning a Bat is increased the higher your Madness Level. Bats are also spawned by Giant Bats. Fighting NOTE: Artifacts which add Blunt Power, Common Combat Power, Impact Power, and Piercing Power will help make certain Attack move more successful. Artifacts with Feral Defense will lower the Blood damage you take from an animal's attack. A Bat, when attacking will fly in close and, if not killed, will attach itself to your Neck detaching anything in that slot and sucking your Blood. To remove a Bat, open your Equipment Window and click the Bat in your Neck slot. This will cause Bat will fly a bit away from you and then turn around to attack you again. Abilities like Stomp will work well on Bats, even though they are flying. Bats suck between 3-4.5 Blood per tick and will not drop even if you are Knocked Out, leading to potential multiple KO's if you aren't quick enough to remove it and Run away. Resources A Bat, once killed, can be picked up and stored in your Inventory as a Dead Bat. Butchering a Dead Bat will yield: Bat Fang x 2 Giant Bat A Giant Bat is an aggressive Creature. A Giant Bat is created by feeding a Dead Bat 8x Royal Jelly. To feed a Dead Bat a Royal Jelly, select the Dead Bat in you inventory and right-click it on the Royal Jelly you wish it to eat. NOTE: Feeding Royal Jelly to dead Creatures adds a small amount of Insanity.
