A Bat, when attacking fly in close and, if not killed, will attach themselves to your neck, sucking blood. It will displace what ever is in your [[Neck]] slot. To remove, open your Equipment Window and click on the Bat in your Necklace slot. The Bat will fly a bit away and then attack again if you don't distance yourself from it, or port away.

A Bat icon.png Bat is an aggressive Creature which live inside of Mine Entrance icon.png Mine Entrances and appear by chance when Mining walls, when a Cave-In is imminent, or on the next level after a Mine-Down. The chance of Bats appearing is greater with higher levels of Madness. Bats are also spawned by Giant Bat icon.png Giant Bats.

A Giant Bat icon.png Giant Bat is an aggressive Creature created by selecting a Dead Bat icon.png Dead Bat and right-clicking it on 8x Royal Jelly icon.png Royal Jelly. Feeding Royal Jelly to dead Creatures adds a small amount of Insanity.
