AboutEquipping Any Shovel allows you to Dig most Biomes. A Better shovel will reduce both the time it takes to Dig and the Phlegm it costs.
Additionally, once the Flowers & Berries skill has been learned, with a Shovel equipped Dig can be used to uproot a Bush to allow it to be moved to another location. Currently the Woodworking Artifact Bonus works only to speed up the uprooting of Bushes. WARNING! Using an Shovel with higher Madness levels runs the risk of it permanently becoming an unusable Questionably Effective Shovel.
