About
To make a Clay Pot, an Unburnt Clay Pot can be fired in either a Fireplace with a chance to fracture into a Pottery Shard, or fired with certainty in a Kiln.
Although liquids can be stored in this Vessel it is generally used to Boil items. A Clay Pot holds up to 5 liters of liquid. It has nine spaces for Boiling.
How to use
- 1) Fuel and Light your Fireplace if it's not already lit.
- 2) Fill your Pot with Water.
- 3) Select the Pot in your inventory and right-click the Fireplace to Pot over the Fire.
- 4) Click on the Pot and select Open, and put the items you wish to Boil into the Pot.
- 5) When the item is done Boiling, its image will change.
To fill a Vessel with Potable Water, click it to pick it up from your inventory and right-click The Shallows while holding it with the mouse. (Do not left-click otherwise you will lose the Bucket!) To fill a Vessel from a Barrel, Press, or another Vessel click it to pick it up from the inventory and right-click the Barrel. Conversely you may fill a Barrel or another Vessel from a Vessel the same way. The Pot must be removed from the Fireplace to refill with Water.
You can empty a Vessel by right-clicking it and choosing "Empty".
Liquids of the same type can be combined so long as there is room in the Vessel, but generally, liquids of differing types cannot.
If your Pot runs out of Water or the Fireplace runs out of Fuel and the items do not Cook completely, remove everything and start over.
