In-Game Text
"Through tattered clothes small vices do appear; Robes and fur'd gowns hid them all"
- William Shakespeare
While simple hides and crude leathers may prove enough for most Pilgrims of Salem, one skilled in Fine Leathercraft has a far greater chance to produce higher quality hides and the ability to create rose tanning solutions.
About
With Fine Leathercraft, you can tan your leather using buckets of Rose-Tinted Tanning Fluid. To make Rose-Tinted Tanning fluid, put a fresh Red Rose, and a Glass Vial into a Steam Distiller which is in an Alchemy Table. Wait four hours to receive a Dehydrated Rose and a Glass Vial with .01L of Otto of Rose.
Adding .01L of Otto of Rose to a 10L full bucket of Vegetable Oil will result in Rose-Tinted Tanning Fluid with a concentration of 0.5%. 5% concentration is needed to make leather and usually a normal Leather will result with the chance of getting Fine Leather increasing with the concentration of the Rose Otto.
For a guaranteed Fine Leather, use a concentration of 50%. See Tanning for further details on tanning in general.
