AboutA Hunting Knife could formerly be be obtained by chance from the Store bought Mystery Tool Box, or received with certainty from the Store bought Hunter's Pack. Each time the Hunting Knife is used it will take wear. At 100% wear the Knife will break and you will be left with a Hunting Knife Hilt which can be used to make another Hunting Knife. A Hunting Knife can be carried in a Toolbelt, stored in a Wooden Toolbox, or hung on a wall. Knives and ButcheringHaving a Knife equipped when Butchering or Skinning creatures will speed up the process, transfer Purity, and prevent the Insanity gained when Butchering by hand. When you finish Butchering any Creature it will leave a temporary Blood Splatter behind.
Meat and Knife PurityA Knife will take on the Purity of the Bar of Pig Iron used to make its Knife Blade. The Purity of your Knife will transfer directly onto the Meat you receive when Butchering a Creature while your Knife is equipped. NOTE: A Hunting Knife starts out a 0% Purity, so you will have to use it enough to wear out the original Knife Blade before you can give your Hunting Knife Purity. |
