AboutHaving a Butcher Knife equipped when butchering or skinning creatures will speed up the process, transfer Purity, and prevent the Insanity gained when butchering by hand. Each time the Butcher Knife is used it will take wear. At 100% wear the Knife will break and you will be left with a Knife Hilt which can be used to make another Butcher Knife. A Butcher Knife be carried in either a Journeyman Toolbelt, Novice Toolbelt, or the Master Toolbelt, additionally it can be stored in a Wooden Toolbox. Can be hung on a wall.
