Obtained from splitting a Woodblock, Singing Old Log, Moldy Board, Aged Driftwood or may randomly spawn on the ground while chopping down trees or crafting items using either the Whittler's Bench or the Carpenter's Bench.

Wood Choppings can be used as Tinder. The amount of Wood Choppings received when anything is split is 2.

It is a cheap Fertilzer that reduces field upkeep. Most players use wood choppings on new fields to get the upkeep down to 50%, which it can do with 10 applications on a fresh field. Maintaining fields is better done with Turkey Droppings

Fertilizer Uses:

-- Without Three-Field System, Fertilizer 1 = First fertilizer to be used on field since seeds were planted; for each fertilizer you used on the field (regardless of which kind) add that to determine which fertilizer # your adding; Example: If you put (1) wood chip on the field, then used this fertilizer, you would get fertilizer 2 as the 2nd fertilizer used on the field.

The formula follows 10/sqrt(x), so:

Fertilizer 4: -5% Upkeep
