Rats are aggressive and will frequently attack on sight, attacking one rat seems to increase the chance of others joining the attack.  Witches, however, will not be attacked by rats and may move among them freely.

About

A Rat icon.png Rat is an aggressive Creature which can be found in any biome in The Darkness icon.png Darkness. Rats don't like Timber Rattler icon.png Timber Rattlers and can often be found attacking them. Rats are usually found in groups of three to five.
