Pinecones can be found on the ground in the Coniferous Biome, or picked from Spruce Tree. Removing Cone Scales from a Pinecone will give you 0-5 Pine Nuts, 2-4 Pinecone Scales, and uncommonly, an Oddly Shaped Pinecone Scale.

Pinecone Scale can be used as Any Tinder when crafting Tinder Drills or Torches.
