A Pinecone was formerly received when right-clicking on a Spruce Tree and selecting "Gather Pinecone. or found on the ground in the Coniferous Biome." Right-clicking on a Pinecone and selecting "Remove Cone Scales" will give you will give you a mix of Pine Nuts, Pinecone Scales, and uncommonly, Oddly Shaped Pinecone Scales. A Pinecone is an Ignitable Item which becomes a Flaming Pinecone when lit. Pinecone's have been replaced with Spruce Cones.

-While a Pinecone can be used as Fuel, it can also be used as a short duration {{i|Torch}}. To light it on fire select the Pinecone from your inventory and right-click onto any source of {{i|Fire}}, like a lit {{i|Fireplace}}. This will replace your Pinecone with a {{i|Flaming Pinecone}}. This item will burn and disappear within a couple of minutes.
